Shawbrook appoints new director of commercial investment

Shawbrook has announced the appointment of Rob Lankey as director of commercial investment.

Lankey joins the specialist lender after a long career at the forefront of the industry, including high profile roles with Aldermore, The NACFB and Amicus. He will be leading the growth of Shawbrook’s Commercial Investment arm.

The Bank is adding 15 industry experts to this team, including several senior underwriters, as well as credit risk and lending operations staff to support an end-to-end customer journey.

Commenting on his appointment, Lankey said: “Portfolio investors in the commercial space represent a key demographic for the UK, and supporting these businesses with their growth plans via the broker channel is a big part of Shawbrook’s future plans.”

He said that, as Shawbrook ‘leads from the front’ with innovative products and a strong service proposition, it is something that he is familiar with given his previous roles.
